FraudGuard
FraudGuard from Camtech provides a way for merchants to detect fraud and avoid charge backs from their bank. Merchants can easily set up their own fraud screening rules via our Merchant Log In, and attach a weighting when certain criteria is not met.
Unlike other fraud screening tools, merchants using FraudGuard can decide if they would like to reject the transaction before it is processed by our payment gateway, or allow the transaction and receive notification that it may be fraudulent. This flexibility along with the number of configurable settings that can be easily updated makes FraudGuard the most advanced screening tool available in today’s market place.
Please find below a list of the fraud settings that can be easily configured via the Merchant Log In.
Country Access Settings- ALLOW/DECLINE transactions from selected countries
- Minimum amount accepted
- Maximum amount accepted
- IP is known open proxy
- IP and card issuing country do not match
- IP is from high risk country
- Customer IP and billing country do not match
- Customer IP and delivery country do not match
- Delivery and billing countries do not match
- Customer email is from a free domain
- Too many transactions from same issuing bank
- Too many declined transactions from same IP
- Too many transactions from same IP
- Too many transactions from same card
- Low transaction amount followed by high transaction amount on same card
- Too many transactions with same customer email
FraudGuard uses a point system to allow merchants to completely customise their fraud settings. If the Fraud Score exceeds 100, then the transaction will be flagged as fraudulent. Merchants can easily view fraud scores when generating a transaction report via our Merchant Log In.
